In my 30s, I survived a traumatic event that left me physically and emotionally scarred. Filled with anxiety, I struggled to cope and initially sought traditional treatments. I started with a trauma therapist, moved to EMDR therapy, and sought medication through a psychiatrist. After two years, although there was some improvement, I still experienced trouble sleeping, panic attacks, and severe social anxiety.
Eventually, a therapist recommended somatic therapy. At first, I thought it was too ‘crunchy’ for me. Working in healthcare, I was skeptical about linking feelings to illnesses and mental disorders. Despite this, I began seeing a somatic practitioner who suggested breathwork and other alternative trauma reduction methods. Almost immediately, I noticed an improvement. Within a year, I was able to stop taking antidepressants and anxiety medications.
I remember thinking why didn’t anyone suggest this two years ago? Why hadn’t a doctor told me about somatic therapy?
I have spent the last six years working with practitioners studying various modalities including sound therapy, meditation, mindfulness, breathwork, and somatic experiencing. My approach to healing is grounded in my belief that the body has an innate ability to restore balance and find its own natural rhythm. Through the intentional use of sound vibrations with singing bowls and breathwork, I create a nurturing space for individuals to explore their inner landscape and release energetic blockages and stored emotions.
As an advocate for mental health, I also actively contribute to the community by volunteering with other mental health organizations to raise awareness of complex mental health issues and to share my gratitude for alternative healing approaches. I collaborate with organizations and mental health institutions to empower individuals who are seeking recovery from all forms of trauma, showing them there can be an integrative approach to mental wellbeing.

Sound healing is a vibrational, movement-free meditation. You will often leave feeling rested and relaxed. The sound of singing bowls produces binaural beats, which encourage brain waves that promote relaxation, moving you into beta and theta trance-like states. This process unblocks and redirects energy, often leaving you feeling more rested and rejuvenated.
Breathwork involves various techniques to intentionally change your breathing pattern. These practices can help reduce stress, increase energy, and release emotions. Whether you are seeking relaxation, enhanced focus, or emotional release, breathwork offers a path to a more balanced life.
